Kalka-Shimla:

This is a spellbinding railway route that takes you to the summer capital – Shimla. You can witness picturesque valleys, foggy forests, and narrow rail routes. The route is for cute little toy trains and is declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Your journey will start from Kalka, and after 96 km of tunnels, bridges, steep curves, deep valleys, and meadows, you will reach Shimla.

Jaisalmer-Jodhpur:

If you are in Rajasthan, then make it a point to travel to Jodhpur from the beautiful city of Jaisalmer. The journey will be one to remember all your life. You can travel to Jaisalmer from Jodhpur on the Delhi Jaisalmer Express. The train is called Desert Queen because it takes 6 hours to reach the destination and will introduce you to the desert on the go. You can see the typical desert landscape with desert vegetation, camels, brown soil, sand dunes, native desert people and much more. The journey is almost like a desert safari.

Tamil Nadu-Rameshwaram:

This is a journey where you can see intersection of oceans. If you are travelling from Mandapam in Tamil Nadu to Rameshwaram, you will see the most beautiful sight of water. The train passes on the second longest bridge in India. It passes on the Palk Strait, which is the only way to connect mainland India to Pamban Island.

Bangalore-Kanyakumari:

This is one more scenic journey in the beautiful South India. There will be picturesque villages to see, lush plantations to soak your eyes with, water bodies to cool your sight. The journey from Bangalore to Kanyakumari takes 944 km. The Island Express train takes 19.5 hours to cover the distance.

Guwahati –Silchar:

If you want to enjoy the green sights of Assam, you must take the route from Guwahati to Silchar through Lumding and Barak Valley. The journey is through river Jatinga, Assam Valley, green tea plantations, and Haflong valley. It is truly a stunning train route to take.
